It didn't turn out that way, as Ashur couldn't find a Ghostly Prison or any other mechanism to slow me down. I am thinking to myself, "This is awful and atrocious for me." He starts the game off with a turn one Crucible off a Mox Diamond, discarding a Horizon Canopy. I wind up winning the roll and putting him on the play, which befuddles him a bit. Ashur is a regular at Mythic, so it's nice to meet someone locally. Round One versus Ashur Terwilliger with Mono White StaxĪfter saddling up, we chat for a few moments about where we're from and such. So with five rounds of action and guaranteed prizes and Invitational points on the line, it's time for round one to begin! There were a total of twenty-seven (27) players at the event - most of whom attend the Jupiter events regularly. Sundering Titan's control element fascinates me, which is why I haven't yet decided to shift it out. I think Flayer is much better at facilitating faster and harder-to-stop kills, where FKZ is a tad more situational. The list hasn't changed much except for a single slot in the main, that being the third Griselbrand in place of the Flame-kin Zealot. I was looking forward to this event and the opportunity to smash face with the undead once again. The selection was amazing, the service friendly and the competition was very stiff - everything you'd want in a Legacy tournament!īeing as how this was my first event at Mythic Games, I wanted to pick up where I left off at Jupiter with Manaless Dredge and keep the momentum going. Their monthly Legacy Invitational Qualifiers are right up there with the best of them. First off I just wanted to say how thoroughly impressed I was with Mythic Games for hosting this event.
